How it works

Three steps to a written report.

  1. 01

    You send your website address

Fill in the short form on this page: your site's address and, if you like, what matters most to you right now. We don't need admin access or passwords.

  2. 02

    We review the site personally

We look at the site the way visitors and Google see it, on phone and desktop, across ten areas. Alongside the path to an inquiry, that includes a basic SEO check: titles, descriptions, local visibility and speed in PageSpeed Insights.

  3. 03

    You get a written report

Within 3 working days we email you the report: 10 changes ranked by impact, a table of impact and effort, and a recommendation on what to do first.

What we review

Ten areas we check on every site.

The free website audit covers ten areas, from the first screen and the path to an inquiry to basic SEO and technical health. Each area ends with a specific finding and a change you can make yourself or with your own developer, and the report closes with a table of changes rated for impact and effort, plus a recommendation on what to do first.

  1. 01

    First screen

Whether a visitor can tell within five seconds what the business does, who it's for and what the next step is.

  2. 02

    Mobile speed

Score and LCP from PageSpeed Insights, with the date of the test, and what slows loading down the most.

  3. 03

    Path to an inquiry

How many clicks separate a visitor from the form or phone number, and how visible contact details are on each page.

  4. 04

    Contact form

The number and order of fields, and whether visitors get a clear confirmation that their message arrived.

  5. 05

    Proof where decisions are made

Whether reviews, references and certificates sit where visitors decide whether to get in touch.

  6. 06

    Service pages

Whether each important service has its own page, one that can appear in search for that service.

  7. 07

    Local visibility

Your Google Business Profile, and whether the business name, address and phone number match everywhere: site, profile and directories.

  8. 08

    Titles and descriptions in search

How your pages look in search results, and whether the title and description say clearly what a click will give.

  9. 09

    Tracking

Whether analytics is in place, and whether inquiries by form, phone and email are tracked at all.

  10. 10

    Visible technical health

HTTPS, an outdated CMS or plugins, and other issues visible without admin access.

Review request

Send your website address for a free review

In your message, include your site's address and, if you like, what matters most: more inquiries, better search visibility or a faster site. We'll send the report to the email you give us.

We review a limited number of sites each week because each one is reviewed personally, so requests are handled in the order they arrive.

Who the review helps most.

  • ✦Businesses whose website exists but rarely brings inquiries
  • ✦Owners planning a redesign who want to know what to keep
  • ✦Businesses paying for ads that want to know whether the site handles that traffic
  • ✦Local businesses that need visibility in Google Search and Maps

If you don't have a website yet or need a web application, a review of an existing site won't tell you much, so a free 30-minute call is the better place to start.

Ask a question→

Is the free website review really free, and why do you offer it?

Yes, the review is completely free and doesn't commit you to anything. We offer it because it's the most concrete way to show how we think about websites, before any conversation about working together. The report is yours, and you can make the changes yourself, with your own developer or with us. If you'd like help after reading it, get in touch.

How long does the review take, and how do I get the report?

We email the report within 3 working days. Because we limit the number of reviews each week, requests are handled in the order they arrive. The report is written in plain language: for each of the 10 changes it says what we found, why it matters and what exactly to change. It ends with a table rating each change for impact and effort, and a recommendation on what to do first, so you know where to start.

What if my site isn't built on WordPress?

The review works for a site on any platform: WordPress, Wix, Shopify, custom code or anything else. We look at what visitors and Google see, so the platform doesn't change most of the areas in the report. Only the tool-specific advice differs, such as how to edit a page title or compress images. Where a platform imposes a limit, we say so clearly, so you know whether a change can be made in the current system or needs bigger work.

Do I have to work with you after the review?

No, the review comes with no obligation. The report is written so that anyone can carry out the changes: you, your team or a developer you already work with. Some items are small and take an afternoon, others need more work, and the effort column shows which is which. If you'd like us to do them, we'll send a fixed quote with scope, timeline and price, only when you ask for it.

What access do you need to my site?

None: we audit the site from the outside and only need its address. We don't ask for admin access, passwords, hosting or Google accounts. We look only at what's publicly available: the site on phone and desktop, speed measured in PageSpeed Insights, search results and the Google Business Profile. That means some things, such as how many inquiries the site brings today, we can't measure. If that matters to you, mention in your message what you track and how.
